Bleed area

We recommend to configure your document with 5mm bleed as a minimum.

We recommend not to insert any text or important image less than 3mm of the page border (crop).

Layouts / Page masters

First, because all elements placed on the page masters won’t be editable from the web interface: it is a useful alternative to the locked layers to securise your layout elements.

And second, because it is an easy way to change your page covering, or to apply another baseline grid to your page.

You can create as much master pages than you need, to define all future variations of your document. This way, if another graphic designer (working for a subsidiary for example) gets your file, he will have the masters layouts stocks you would have prepared.
