Integration with Shutterstock

From 2022.6 , it is possible to import bought media licenses from Shutterstock directly to the DAM.

Wedia integration enables users to ingest/import automatically all the images and videos they have purchased with a corporate account in Shutterstock to their Wedia DAM.

Each time an asset is purchased at Shutterstock, it is automatically imported to Wedia, along with all its metadata (caption, keywords…) and digital rights information (photographer, expiration date..).

This help digital asset managers to keep all purchased assets centralized in the Wedia DAM, to avoid duplicate purchases, help users reuse assets other have bought, and make sure digital rights are enforced after the image bank purchase.

This integration is available through an optional Wedia plugin : PACKAGED_ImgBank.

In order to use it, you need to

  • activate the plugin (please ask you Wedia account manager)

  • set the plugin parameters correctly to link to your Shutterstock account(s)

  • set the plugin import parameters : periodic import, one-time import, only videos, all media types

  • set the plugin property mapping from the Shutterstock metadata to your Wedia DAM custom metadata

The import process will launch, and you can set the plugin to import previous purchases from Shutterstock until a certain date in the past in the first run.

The import process is totally automated, but the plugin comes with an API if you need to manually trigger the process.
