Manage links in the menu and the footer

Since Starter-Kit 2023.3, it is now possible to add and remove links in the menu and the footer via the DAM Configuration page. You’ll also be able to change the order of the links.
The feature is accessible by default to users with a "Developer" role. It is possible to grant access to other roles directly from the role management interface.
Access the feature
To access it, go to the DAM Configuration page and look for the “Pages & Navigation” menu. There you will find an access to the “Menu” or the “Footer” configuration.
In each configuration page, you’ll find default links.
In the Menu, these are:
Legal notice,
Terms and conditions;
Feedback: this link is distinctive because it does not appear in the configuration page and it’s order can’t be changed
In the Footer, the default links are:
Legal notice,
Terms and conditions,
Feedback;
Those links can’t be deleted but their order can be changed.
Changing the order of the links
To change the order of a link, you need to click anywhere on the row of the link and move the link to where you want it to be. The selected row will appear with a blue line while you hover over it and a gray row will show it’s new position.
Creating a new link
To create a new link, in the desired element (menu or footer), click on the “Add a link” button on the top right of the configuration page.
Fill in the inputs
Link title: this field must be at least 3 characters long and the default language input must be filled.
URL link: the link must have a valid URL address. Bear in mind that it will not check if the URL works but only if it’s a valid URL format.
Open in new tab: choose wether you want the link to open in a new tab or not when clicked.
Deleting a link
You can delete a custom link by clicking the trash icon at the end of the line. This will open a popin asking for confirmation. Once confirmed, the link will be deleted and a notification will appear.
