Email Editing Tools

Presentation of the email editor

The email editor allows a user to manipulate the structure and the contents of an email within a project.

The editor is presented as a web page in the Wedia back office displaying an email preview in the center of the editor and the editing tools located above this preview.

There are currently 5 editing tools, allowing you to :

• modify the texts,

• drag and drop content (images, text or any other type of content)

• duplicate or delete HTML blocks,

• move HTML blocks relative to each other,

• modify HTML element attribute values

Editing tools will be active if the email template allows the user to modify one of the elements present in the email. If no element can be modified, the corresponding tool will be grayed out.

For example if the template does not allow a user to move of the blocks relative to each other then the moving tool of blocks will be grayed out.

Text Editing Tool

This tool allows you to directly modify the text content of an element of the email.

A click on the activation button of the text tool enables you to activate all fields editable by the user. These editable areas are marked by a yellow dotted rectangle in the body of the email.

Simple editing

The editing of the text contents can be done directly in the body of the email by clicking in the area you wish to modify.

Advanced Edition

An advanced text editor will allow the user to enrich the text if necessary, adding typographical or style information. To open the advanced editor, click on the button Open Advanced Editor located near the editor toolbar.

The advanced editor will adapt to the types of elements and may offer more or less tools depending on the context of appearance.

Content Management Tool

The content management tool allows you to upload image content and/or texts from content management directly in the body of the email.

The tool allows you to open the contents panel in which you can search for among the available contents and drag and drop the elements directly in the email.

Download images and import from a DAM

The content management tool also allows you to import images from a local DAM or downloaded images.

These new contents will be made available in the project after import in the system.

Duplication tool

The duplication tool allows you to duplicate or delete HTML blocks.

Repeatable blocks are not free and are defined by the email template used.

Move tool

The move tool allows you to move HTML blocks one by one.

The movable blocks are not free and are defined by the email template used.

Attribute Editing Tools

This tool allows you to modify attributes of an HTML element.

Editable attributes are not free and are defined by the email template used.
