Tables
Wedia is able to detect tables and to make them editable trought the web interface. Some instructions must be respected.
Table style or Cell styles
Supported practice
Adobe InDesign proposes to create table styles and/or cell styles. To save time in laying-out and to harmonize the appearance of a document, you can define styles and behaviours which will be applied to your tables or some cells, depending on the case.
Cell styles are perfectly handled by the platform: they must be used to define the filling color, strokes color, weight of the cells…
Embedded Table
Forbidden practice
The embedded table is a table inserted inside another table’s cell. This feature is forbidden in documents aimed to be uploaded to the platform. The platform editor won’t be able to display the tables correctly and prevent the edition of their contents.
Opacity
Forbidden practice
We strongly advise you not to use manual opacity effects in cell fills or table fills. Such effects might cause artefacts in the PDF generated from the platform (this is an InDesign issue).
Synchronous link with an external Excel® file
Some desktop-publishing software allow you to link a table with an external Excel file, with datas in the table synchronized with Excel’s file data.
