Wedia Figma Content Picker

Introducing the brand new connector between the Wedia Digital Asset Management and Figma solution! This powerful tool allows graphic designers to seamlessly integrate their work in Figma with our extensive library of digital assets.

With this connector, designers can easily search for the perfect images, graphics, and other assets within our platform, and then use them directly within their Figma projects.

With this new feature, you'll be able to access your entire library of assets without ever leaving Figma, making your workflow more efficient and productive than ever before.

 

Installing the Figma Wedia Content Picker

The Figma Wedia Content Picker is delivered as a plugin, available in the Figma community pages :

Search of Wedia or click on the direct link below :

Once in the plugin page, click on the upper right Try it out button :

 

Licensing the Wedia Content Picker users.

Out of the box, no user has the privilege to use the Wedia Content Picker. To gain access, kindly get in touch with your Wedia account manager and obtain a license for the content picker.

Using the Figma Wedia Content Picker

To use the Figma Wedia Content Picker, open a Figma document, and follow these steps :

  1. Locate the Reosurces icon, and open the plugin panel

  2. Navigate to the Plugin tab

  3. Search for Wedia, or locate below the Wedia shortcut

Once located, moving your mouse over the Wedia icon will trigger the “Run” action, that will launch the Wedia plugin.

This action will open a new panel that will prompt to select your Wedia server to connect to :

Once selected, you will be prompted to connect with your Wedia account :

Please note that due to to Figma internal restrictions, SSO connections, such as internal company directories, Google or Microsoft accounts are not supported at the moment.

When connected, you access the Digital Asset Management search engine. Depending on your account configuration, a full text search box and filters allow you to create queries, and find images from your DAM.

The Action buttons allow to :

  • integrate the web version of the asset in the Figma document (600 pixels height)

 

  • integrate the asset without background, removed by artificial intelligence

 

  • get more information about the asset, such as metadata
