With the Wedia Wordpress Content Picker, you can say goodbye to the hassle of manually uploading images and videos and searching for them in your media library. This powerful plugin integrates seamlessly with the Wedia digital asset management system, providing a simple and intuitive interface to search for and select the assets you need.

The plugin offer access to the Wedia Portal advanced search engine that allows you to quickly find the assets you're looking for using various search criteria such as asset type, keywords, metadata, and more. You can preview the assets before inserting them into your post to ensure they fit perfectly with your content.

The Wedia Wordpress Content Picker also allows you to edit the assets directly within Wordpress, so you can crop, resize, and adjust the images and videos without ever leaving the platform.

Using the WordPress Content Picker

The WordPress Content Picker is tightly integrated into the standard way of working:

The plugin installs the Wedia DAM portal as a new Media Library tab:

Optionally, a cropper to a given size can appear to insert the asset at a preset height and width:

The image is inserted into the post, but the source of the image is a direct link to the DAM:

Special case: featured image.

The Wedia Content Picker can be used to pick the feature image of a post:

But there is a caveat: this picking action actually copies the selected asset in the Wordpress Media Library, and set it as the post featured image, there is no direct link to the DAM in that case.

 

Installing the Wedia Content Picker plugin.

To obtain the Wedia Content Picker plugin, simply reach out to your dedicated Wedia account manager and request it. Once requested, the plugin will be delivered to you as a ZIP file that can be easily installed by following the standard plugin installation procedure, which involves uploading the ZIP file.

 

Licensing the Wedia Content Picker users.

Out of the box, no user has the privilege to use the Wedia Content Picker. To gain access, kindly get in touch with your Wedia account manager and obtain a license for the content picker.
