Manage asset versions

Permissions
All users invited to collaborate in a space are authorized to manage asset version to that space.

How it works
Introduction
From an asset, the "versions" tab allows access to and management of all versions of an asset.
The functions available from this tab include:
View a Version: This allows users to view the details of a specific version.
Compare Two Versions: Users can compare two different versions of the media asset.
Add a New Version of the asset: This function enables users to upload or create a new version of the asset. L’upload peut se faire soit en drag n droppant le média, soit en cliquant sur le bouton “Add new version”.
Delete a Version: Users can delete a specific version of the media asset but not the current version.
Select an Old Version as the Current Version: This feature allows users to revert to an older version of the media asset and make it the current or active version. This can be useful in scenarios where the most recent version is not the most appropriate for the current context or needs.
Note once the asset is published in the DAM, the working versions are deleted.
Access to version management of an asset
Click “Go to workspace” of the workspace of your choice
Click “Go to the asset” of the asset of your choice
Click "Versions"
Add a New Version of the asset
Click “Add new version” and select your file from your computer, or drag directly your file on the current asset
Please note that the asset type must match the first version. For example, if I have an asset in JPG format, I can upload a GIF, but not a .MOV.
View a Version
Click the version of your choice to display it
Compare Two Versions
Click Compare
Adjust the direction of comparison as necessary : vertically or horizontally
Stop comparison
The comment function is not (yet) available when in comparison mode.
Select an old Version as the Current Version
Only users authorized to manage the statuses of assets in that space are allowed to set an old version as the current version.
Delete a Version
Click on the "three dots" icon to delete a version.
You cannot delete a version that you did not upload unless you are the owner of the workspace or have the management rights for that space.
