Introduction

Wedia publishes a base DAM object, which contains all mandatory properties to act as a DAM.

To see all its properties, open the administration view and click on Object Management. Select the object asset.

Note

It is possible to define more than one asset object, e.g. to separate between very different asset collection type. For example, Marketing assets, vs Heritage assets.

Important tags

An asset object needs the following tag setup on the Configuration tab of the object, so it can be recognised system-wide as a DAM object:

Create new DAM object

We strongly advocate for duplicating the base “asset” object to create a new DAM object class :

 

  1. Administration > Object Management

  2. Search for asset

  3. Click Copy object

  4. Name it

  5. Configure the new object with additional properties to fit your needs.
