2022.5.0 Release Notes

• This version introduces a new Settings interface, with its first module, the Role management interface.

The starter-kit configuration now provides a new user interface for managing roles and permissions. This new module is built on the roles and permissions model that was introduced in earlier versions, but provide a more user-friendly interface for managing roles and permissions.

• This version introduces a new ruler in the DTP Manager (Web to print and Creative Review), that is always present, and offers a way to measure dimensions of the height and width of a rectangle drawn on the surface (the measurement rectangle is never saved on the document).

• This new version introduces a new “block” layout, with metadata under the square preview. This new layout was designed with our client Savencia, and it helps when working with packaging images and metadata related to the product.

This layout extends to 6 columns on larger screens, but this can be customized.

• This version introduces the support for the new JPEG XL format (input, and output with the .jxl extension)

The next-generation image codec from the JPEG Committee is JPEG XL (with the file extension .jxl). As a state-of-the-art, cutting-edge image codec, JPEG XL is specifically created for efficient compression and web delivery of high-quality images with a focus on high-fidelity compression and progressive rendering. We support inserting new JXL files, and output as JXL images:

• This version introduces a sandbox for testing the Content Picker. When developing with the Content Picker Pro, it is great to have a way to test it, so the sandbox will present a sample of Content Picker integration:

→ opens a test page, reflecting your current setup of the content picker pro. The JSON result tab will show what is returned from the Content Picker javascript, and the preview tab shows all returned assets as preview.

• This version offers a great performance improvement on asset detail for the portal : the image is loaded as soon as possible, the image player is loaded asynchronously : the image is visible immediately, and the zoom / full page options appear a few seconds later.

• The labels of the Wedia system can now be loaded dynamically from the eDocs repository :

You thus do not have to wait between releases to benefit from typo corrections. Your project translations will never be overwritten by the eDocs labels. Please read this ticket for more information.

• It is now possible to assign a file to multiple assets during the bulk upload tagging in the back-office (this is not supported in Portal).

• The Web-to-Print reports overset on table cells

• The Web-to-Print support “all caps” text overrides

• Full text indexations and bulk update performances have been improved, either on normal operations, and full reindexation.

• the profile page in the Portal is now totally automatically managed, including facets, validations from the Engine.

• For long keywords lists, the UX of the filters has been improved with a sticky filter on top :
